I first saw Wind at the 2006 Minnesota Horse Expo. His color and confirmation caught my eye immediately and when I approached Dick to ask about Wind I assumed from his calm demeanor that he was a gelding and was shocked to find out he was a stallion. When I saw his bloodlines I thought that he would be great to cross with my AQHA mare (Leo, Three Bars, Top Deck, Wimpy). Dick and Dee were eager and willing to work with me on the timing of the breeding. In the spring/summer of 2007 we started the process and Dick and Dee have been great to work with. Through a couple of FedEx problems they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and the mare was a high priority. They even drove hundreds of miles on a holiday weekend to make sure we could make it happen! Their willingness to work with us and ensure that our mare settled and that we were happy customers made me like them even more and validated our choice to breed our mare to Menominee Wind. Not only is he beautiful and full of color, his temperament and easy going attitude is something that I hope he passes on to the foal. The mare is due in May 2008 and will be on display during the 2007 Minnesota State Fair.
